49ers feel the love during journey to Super Bowl 58

The San Francisco 49ers touched down in Las Vegas on Sunday night, but not before receiving a rapturous send off from their fans in the Bay Area ahead of Super Bowl 58.

Hordes of 49ers fans lined the streets around Levi’s Stadium to show their support as the 49ers departed to board their flight to Las Vegas from San Jose Mineta International Airport.

After touching down at Harry Reid International in Las Vegas, the 49ers then received a raucous welcome from fans who had flocked to their hotel at Lake Las Vegas.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan, sat at the front of the first coach, was quick to display his appreciation to those who had patiently waited for their arrival.

Joe Vigil of KVVU Fox 5 News Las Vegas said he was told by police that the crowd for the 49ers’ arrival was significantly larger than the crowd that greeted the Kansas City Chiefs.

With most fans with tickets unlikely to arrive until later in the week, that shouldn’t be taken as an indicator that the 49ers will have more fans at Allegiant Stadium come Sunday.
