Video: Las Vegas man who bit officer attacks fellow inmate in court

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An inmate who had just pleaded guilty to biting a police officer’s hand attacked another inmate inside a Las Vegas courtroom last week, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

Dustin Langham, 18, punched Berdon Bridge during a hearing Thursday, a district court spokesperson confirmed. Langham and Bridge, who were both in custody at the time, were seated next to each other during the hearing in Clark County District Court Judge Bita Yeager’s courtroom where both entered guilty pleas.

Video the 8 News Now Investigators obtained showed Langham punching Bridge several times. Several corrections officers and court marshals then separate the men and handcuff Langham. The officers then removed all of the other inmates from the courtroom.

Langham pleaded guilty to several counts of battery by a prisoner for biting a Clark County Detention Center officer in December, records said.

Clark County District Court Judge Joe Hardy sentenced Langham to probation on Sept. 21, 2023, on a charge of battery with substantial bodily harm, records said. In that case, when he was 17, he bit a corrections officer and threw a rock at another, documents said. He was arrested in October on a probation violation.
