Las Vegas man allegedly stabbed wife in front of young daughter because she wouldn’t cuddle him

LAS VEGAS (TCD) — A 53-year-old man stands accused of fatally stabbing his wife over the weekend during a dispute about a suspected affair.

On Saturday, Feb. 3, shortly after 1 a.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4900 block of Chantilly Avenue, where they located an unresponsive female, identified by KLAS-TV as Veronica Cortes-Rosales, suffering from stab wounds. Moises Sanchez had reportedly called police and admitted to killing his wife, prompting the investigation.

Medical personnel also responded to the home and pronounced the woman deceased. According to KLAS, Sanchez was standing in the driveway when police arrived, and they took him into custody.

Officers reportedly located Cortes-Rosales’ body with a “significant” amount of blood inside a bedroom that had been converted in their garage.

The couple’s three young daughters were reportedly home during the fatal attack.

According to a report reviewed by KLAS, Sanchez told investigators he and his wife, who had been married since 1999, resided in the home for approximately seven years with their daughters, his adult son, and his daughter-in-law.
