One person in Nevada sickened by listeria outbreak linked to queso fresco and cotija cheese

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns of a multi-state listeria outbreak linked to two types of cheese; queso fresco and cotija. Listeria is a foodborne illness that can be deadly to the very young, very old, and those with compromised immune systems. Symptoms include fever, chills, muscle aches, nausea and diarrhea.
