LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Some people in Lake Las Vegas wonder if someone blasting in the area is the cause of a bright flash and powerful boom that shook houses on Sunday. On Friday, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue bomb squad officials told FOX5 they checked out the area around the abandoned Three Kids Mine. They also say they spoke with at least one person who heard the boom on Sunday and called others.
