Motorcyclist dead after central Las Vegas valley crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist is dead after rear-ending a car in the central Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.

On Sunday around 1:35 p.m., police responded to the area of North Rancho and Vegas drives after a report of a crash involving a motorcycle.

Police said a motorcycle was driving southbound on Ranch at a high rate of speed when it changed lanes to pass slower vehicles and rear-ended a Honda Accord.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 34-year-old woman, was thrown from the bike and taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
