Las Vegas is home to a first-of-its-kind specialty court program that finds ways to help at-risk youth with autism. The court is the Detention alternative for Autistic Youth or Dayy court. It was started by Judge Sunny Bailey in 2018. Its primary goal is to keep at-risk juveniles with autism out of the revolving door of the criminal justice system.
