Throw a stone anywhere in the heart of Las Vegas, and you’re bound to hit a hotel or resort of some kind. Sin City is home to some of the most famous casino resorts in the world, and with many of these places offering cheap room rates per night (even after the hidden resort fees are tacked on), you can find decent accommodations for just about any budget.
Just make sure you double-check your reservation details before clicking “confirm.” That’s what this couple should have done before booking a room at the OYO Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas… or at least, what they thought was the OYO Hotel and Casino!
A Tale of Two OYOs
It took me a second to figure out what he was talking about, because if you Google “OYO Hotel Las Vegas,” the only thing that pops up is the “right” location; the one on Tropicana Ave across the street from the MGM Grand. There’s only one OYO Hotel in Las Vegas… but there is an OYO Motel (actually, there’s two locations, but same chain). The OYO casino resort dominates the search results so much, I don’t know how they managed to find and book the motel before the real deal!
