Preparing for Las Vegas’ largest Fourth of July Parade

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Las Vegas valley’s largest Independence Day parade is just a few days away and the final touches are being put on the 70 entries that will be passing through the streets of Summerlin on July 4th.

The Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade started 30 years ago with just a few kids riding their decorated bikes around the area and has grown into an event that is expected to draw 50,000 people this year.

“We’re getting pretty close. There are still going to be a few last-minute things we are getting done but we’re pretty close,” explained volunteer Jordyn Doyle.
