County re-opens ‘cooling stations’ as another round of excessive heat rolls in

Las Vegas, NV (KXNY) – Labor Day is considered the unofficial end of summer, but Clark County residents aren’t done with the heat just yet.

Once again, the National Weather Service has put the area under an Excessive Heat Warning. The warning begins Wednesday morning and goes through Friday night, with high temperatures in the region expected to reach close to 110.

In response the heat, Clark County will again be opening up numerous so-called “cooling stations” that will offer relief from the heat to those that need it. The cooling stations will stay open through the duration of the Excessive Heat Warning.
