Woman’s body found inside locked freezer

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Two people are under arrest following the discovery of a body in a freezer at a home on the valley’s east side.

Police were called to a home near Vegas Valley and Nellis to perform a welfare check on a woman in her 60s who hadn’t been seen in a week.
Police say when no one answered, they entered their home looking for the woman.
Instead, they found two people who they say were acting suspiciously.

Those two were detained as the search continues.  Upon finding a locked freezer, police enlisted the help of a locksmith who was able to open it up, and the body was found.

Metro is calling the death suspicious, and say it doesn’t appear to be random. They’re asking for anyone who might have more information to call them.
