Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A Las Vegas woman has been arrested after police say she fled the scene of a fatal accident that she was responsible for.
The crash happened late Friday afternoon at the intersections of Flamingo and Pecos.
Investigators say that 32-year-old Nikki Serrat was speeding and ran a red light when she slammed into another car, killing two of that car’s occupants. She then fled the scene.
There were two other people in Serrat’s car who suffered moderate injuries.
Two other vehicles were involved in the accident, but the occupants of those cars weren’t seriously hurt.
Surveillance video and witness statements helped to lead police to Serrat, but the circumstances surrounding the arrest have not yet been released.
