Thief swipes 100 Christmas gifts from southwest Las Vegas valley doorstep

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A man in the southwest Las Vegas valley is trying to keep the holiday spirit alive after he told 8 News Now he had 100 Christmas presents stolen from his front doorstep.

It happened in the Montagne Marron gated community near Jones Boulevard and Cactus Avenue.

Chris Perron said the gifts were for his children’s school as a thank you to teachers and staff. Once the gifts arrived, it was his doorbell camera that alerted him to a thief driving off with his package.

“It’s clear frustration. It’s a common thing this time of year and it’s beginning to get to the point where we are hopeless here in the Southern Highland community,” Perron shared with 8 News Now.

Perron added that the mail theft has been an ongoing issue in his neighborhood. He also shared that while the items were replaceable, he is now out $350.
