LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — The biological father of a Henderson teen who was found dead Monday is expressing anger about the circumstances around the girl’s suicide.
The cause of death for Jennaleah Hin was listed by the Clark County coroner’s office Tuesday as a penetrating contact gunshot wound of the head and neck, with the manner of death being suicide.
The 17-year-old was reported missing on Dec. 30. Hin was found dead on Sunday after a week-long search , found about a mile away from the location where she was last seen in a desert area east of Desert Sunflower Circle and Spanish Needle Street, near East Horizon Ridge Parkway.
Hina Hin, Jennaleah’s biological father, said he first learned his teen daughter was missing from her mother. He admitted that he initially believed the situation was typical for missing teens and that Jennaleah would return after a night out with friends. However, Hin said when he heard of the discovery of a suicide note, he came to Las Vegas from San Jose.
