The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) has awarded $3,882,500 in grants to Latino-led organizations across California and Nevada, aiming to strengthen vulnerable communities. The funding focuses on regions like California’s Central and Imperial Valleys and Nevada, where underserved Latino populations face significant challenges.
Over $300,000 from LCF’s Latino Power Fund supports immigrant rights organizations through legal aid, community organizing, and rapid response services. Additionally, $905,000 will aid economic justice initiatives through LCF’s Latino Capital Accelerator, expanding Asociación de Emprendedores into Imperial Valley.
“Through LCF’s grantmaking and dedication to equity, we’re ensuring grassroots leaders have the resources to confront attacks on our humanity,” said CEO Julián Castro.
