Suspect in North Las Vegas casino killing, carjackings faces 28 counts

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The man accused of killing a former state senator’s son in a casino and then leading police on a chase, involving carjackings, was arraigned Tuesday on more than two dozen felony charges and will remain behind bars.

Aerion Warmsley, 19, appeared in North Las Vegas Justice Court for a bail hearing. He is facing a total of 28 counts, including murder, robbery, battery, burglary, kidnapping, child abuse/neglect, reckless driving, failure to stop at the scene of a crash, and discharging a firearm inside a building.

Warmsley was arrested on March 27 after a high-speed car chase across the valley that involved at least three carjackings and multiple crashes before he was taken into custody.
