Las Vegas judge orders Tony Hsieh’s estate to pay attorney $366K

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A judge has ordered the estate of late Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh to pay his former lawyer hundreds of thousands of dollars as part of a contract signed months before the entrepreneur’s death.

Hsieh, who founded and then sold the online shoe retailer, died in a house fire in November 2020 in Connecticut. He was 46. Since then, several people have filed creditors’ claims and lawsuits against the estate for payment. Previous court filings estimated his wealth at nearly $850 million. Hsieh died without a will.
