Driver impaired, hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after east Las Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man accused of driving under the influence has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, Las Vegas police say.

24-year-old Diego Herrera-Herrera drove eastbound on Sahara early Monday morning, according to Las Vegas Metro Police. At the intersection with McLeod Drive, at least two cars were stopped at a red light.

Metro Police said Herrera-Herrera failed to decrease speed and hit a Nissan, which then hit a Mazda. Police say both vehicles were pushed into the intersection…
