LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Newly released 911 calls are shedding light on the moments following a tragic incident at Arbor View High School, where a car struck and killed 18-year-old McKenzie Scott.
“There was a child hit, um, on the crosswalk by Arbor View High School. He is unconscious and not moving,” a caller said. The caller also mentioned that a student was attempting to get the vehicle’s plate number, but was advised not to put themselves in danger. “No, he seems calm. He stayed on scene. He knows what he did,” the caller added. When asked if drugs or alcohol were involved, the caller responded, “Not that I am aware of. I – I don’t know. He says he knew he seen him and he just kept going.”
The suspected driver, Keenan Jackson, was found to have nearly four times the legal limit of alcohol in his system during a field sobriety test. Jackson was arrested for DUI resulting in death, and his bail is set at $500,000…
