Las Vegas Braces for Cooler Temperatures and Isolated Storms After Gusty Winds

Winds in Las Vegas are expected to decrease today, bringing the coolest temperatures of the week. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Southern Nevada, mainly affecting the southern Great Basin region. This follows several days of gusty southwest winds. The National Weather Service Las Vegas released updated weather predictions, indicating a calm period before conditions change later in the week.

Strong winds over 60 mph have continued from the Spring Mountains to Mercury-Desert Rock since Monday. The National Weather Service has extended the High Wind Warning for the area through 4 AM.
