Henderson breaks ground on $70M sports complex project

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The City of Henderson is set to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new indoor sports and entertainment complex, the West Henderson Fieldhouse, on Wednesday.

Marking the beginning of a major recreational project aimed at serving the growing needs of the community the 160,000 square-foot, two-level facility will be built behind Chicken N Pickle, near St. Rose and Maryland Parkways. The West Henderson Fieldhouse is expected to open its doors in fall 2026.

The state-of-the-art facility will offer a wide range of amenities for residents of all ages. Planned features include:

  • Multi-use basketball courts: convertible for volleyball and pickleball
  • Hybrid turf fields: for indoor soccer, box lacrosse, and football
  • Birthday party and community rooms
  • Family entertainment zone: may include bowling, laser tag, arcade games, miniature golf, and a restaurant with a bar
