Las Vegas Hit-and-Run Claims Life of Pedestrian, City’s 67th Traffic Fatality of the Year

A 32-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run collision in Las Vegas, the 67th traffic-related fatality this year. The accident happened on April 27 at East Flamingo Road and Mojave Road. The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and died last Saturday. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section is investigating the case.

A man was struck while crossing East Flamingo Road by a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Luis Fuentes-Ramirez. After the collision, Fuentes-Ramirez briefly stopped, then fled the scene, but later returned. He was taken into custody and booked on hit-and-run charges.
