LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nearly three weeks after a deadly hit-and-run in the Las Vegas valley, police arrested a suspect in connection with the crash.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers took Karen Cannon, 63, into custody for the hit-and-run crash that killed 33-year-old Patrick Deloriea, who was riding a skateboard on May 13.

According to Las Vegas police, Cannon was driving a Tesla at around 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Vegas Drive. Preliminary details showed Cannon was driving south on Rainbow approaching the intersection with Vegas Drive.
Deloriea, on the skateboard, was attempting to cross Rainbow on the north side of the intersection when the Tesla hit him. Medical personnel responded to the scene, and despite life-saving efforts, Deloriea succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead…
