LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A red flag warning is in effect for Southern Nevada through the weekend, as the National Weather Service in Las Vegas warns of an elevated fire risk due to gusty winds, warm temperatures, and low humidity.
This combination of factors means any fire that develops could spread rapidly.
Ray Johnson of the U.S. Forest Service emphasized the importance of these restrictions, saying, “When it’s this hot and dry, we need to put these restrictions in place, so it’s safe for everybody.”…
