LAS VEGAS, NV (KSNV) — A tragic wrong-way crash on Interstate 15, just south of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, claimed the life of a male juvenile on Saturday night, according to preliminary reports from the Nevada Highway Patrol. The incident adds to the growing number of traffic-related fatalities in Nevada.
More than 150 people have died this year, with over 110 of those deaths occurring in Clark County.
In addition to local efforts, Nevada legislators passed Jaya’s Law in May. The bill focuses on addressing the issue of wrong way driving by marking the offense as a misdemeanor. It was named after 3-year-old Jaya Brooks, who died in December 2023 in a wrong-way crash…
