Las Vegas (KSNV) — The Henderson Fire Department expressed its sorrow and solidarity following a recent ambush attack on firefighters in Idaho.
“Firefighters serve with courage and selflessness, and to be targeted in the line of duty is a tragedy that shakes us all. We stand in solidarity with the Idaho fire community and honor the sacrifice of the fallen,” the department said.
Longtime Las Vegas residents may recall a similar incident in 2009 when a Metro officer was wounded in the arm after Bryan Hanasz opened fire on firefighters.
