Las Vegas driver who had ‘a few drinks’ before fatal crash sentenced to 3-12 years

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A DUI driver who admitted to having “a few drinks” before leaving a casino and killing a motorcyclist will serve at least three years in prison, a judge ruled Monday.

Edward Dukes, 28, killed Joshua Yokley, 43, outside of the Sante Fe Station Hotel & Casino on April 7.

Yokley was riding a motorcycle on Lone Mountain Road near Rainbow Boulevard when Dukes drove out of a casino’s parking lot and collided with Yokley’s bike, police said. Dukes told police he had “a few drinks inside” the casino before the crash…
