LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police issued nearly 500 citations and made almost 70 DUI arrests throughout the Las Vegas valley over the holiday weekend.
During the holiday weekend, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department conducted a “DUI blitz,” Sergeant Jakob Shallenberger announced in a video posted on the department’s Facebook page.
Officers from every LVMPD area command, as well as LVMPD Traffic Detail, joined forces with the Henderson Police Department, Boulder City Police, and the Nevada State Police Department to increase DUI enforcement over the weekend.
