Las Vegas hit-and-run cases remain unsolved in 75% of instances, raising community concern

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The solve rate for hit-and-run cases for Las Vegas police is less than 25 percent, according to statistics.

Data from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s weekly traffic action report shows 440 closed cases of the 1,995 reported hit-and-run investigations as of July 6. That means about 75 percent of cases remain open.
