LAS VEGAS — Residents of Paradise Palms are grappling with a persistent squatter problem, as abandoned properties in the area become targets for unauthorized occupants. Neighbors say the issue is exacerbated by the proximity of a nearby wash, which has led to an influx of homeless individuals.
Rose Hockenson, a local resident, highlighted the ongoing challenges at a property on Nahatan Way. “The county has been over and cleaned it up. But these squatters come back and they bring tools and stuff with them and they just keep taking and tearing the place apart,” she said.
