FBI Las Vegas chief transitioning to new position: sources

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The head of the FBI’s Las Vegas field office is leaving and transitioning to a new role in the department, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans, a decades-long FBI veteran, joined the Las Vegas office as its leader in 2022.

Following President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, leadership at the U.S. Department of Justice asked senior FBI leadership, including Evans, to resign or be fired, CBS News reported…
