Clark County approves ordinance aiming to prevent minors from drinking in hotel rooms

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Clark County is stepping up enforcement when it comes to minors and alcohol, particularly at resort casinos on the Las Vegas Strip.

In a unanimous vote, the county approved an ordinance that adds requirements when it comes to guests keeping alcoholic liquor in their hotel rooms. This also applies to private booths and viewing areas in resort hotel movie theaters, as well as private skyboxes.

“We added the requirement that licensees must obtain a written acknowledgment and agreement to assume control of the alcoholic liquor and prevent consumption by minors,” Vincent Queano, director of Clark County Business License, explained…
