LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County School District Police Department made over 200 traffic stops and issued over 70 traffic citations on the first day of the 2025-2026 school year, according to CCSDPD.
Officers made 207 traffic stops and issued 73 traffic citations, with most of the stops for speed violations and U-turns in school zones, CCSDPD said. Not all of the citations were solely for moving violations, as some were for other issues, including registration violations, no driver’s license and insurance issues.

CCSDPD wants to remind drivers that school zones are active 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after school arrival and dismissal time.
