LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A major homeless encampment on the east side of the Las Vegas valley that neighbors were trying to get moved has been cleared.
The encampment was located on North 23rd Street near Eastern and Owens avenues, across from the Casa Bonita Apartments, inside a private fenced-off lot.

“We have a lot of absentee owners who are from out of state that own these empty lots,” Al Rojas with the Safe Communities Network said. “We have people that are not monitoring the lots, or they don’t know the trespassing rights.”
