LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Mesquite police seized about 68 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of $400,000 during a traffic stop on Interstate 15 on Tuesday.
Fredys Ortega Perez, 30, of Big Lake, Minnesota, was arrested on drug trafficking charges. He is in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, awaiting an Aug. 27 arraignment hearing. His bail was set at $75,000.
Ortega Perez was pulled over after a Mesquite Police Department K9 officer noticed he was driving erratically, “significantly below the speed limit,” according to police. The stop occurred just before 10 a.m. about two miles from the Nevada-Arizona border…
