LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It’s been almost 10 years since Nevada legalized recreational marijuana use, sparking a booming new industry. UNLV’s Cannabis Policy Institute explored how the cannabis and hemp industry has evolved.
Last year, Nevada’s cannabis sales brought in $829 million with $120 million in taxes. While slightly down from previous years, Nevada still ranks among the top cannabis economies in the U.S.
According to this year’s UNLV Cannabis Policy Institute report “Where Will Weed Win?”, Nevada ranks in the top five of the state weed rankings.
