LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The LVMPD is mourning the loss of one of its K9 officers on Friday morning.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department K9 Officer Hunter was 14 years old, according to a post from the LVMPD on Instagram.
Hunter was part of the LVMPD for 12 years, serving alongside his lifelong partner, retired Officer Jeff Corbett. Hunter retired two and a half years ago.
Throughout his career, Hunter helped locate and apprehend more than 200 suspects. He was one of the top patrol dogs and a favorite among SWAT, police said in the post…
