First-ever Las Vegas Songwriters Festival is at Mandalay Bay

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The songwriters behind some of the biggest hits will share their stories at a special festival starting Thursday at a Las Vegas Strip hotel.

Good Day Las Vegas’ JC Fernandez previews the first-ever Las Vegas Songwriters Festival, which kicks off with a concert featuring Lee Brice & Friends.

Rob Hatch, one of the festival’s co-founders, and a hit songwriter whose credits include hits like “I Don’t Dance” (Lee Brice), “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” (Justin Moore), “Goodnight Kiss” (Randy Houser) and “Shinin’ On Me” (Jerrod Niemann) In addition, he’s written for other artists like Faith Hill and Florida Georgia Line.  He said that the festival will give fans a chance to meet the creators behind the music through live performances and Q&A sessions…
