LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two men who attended the Electric Daisy Carnival, also known as EDC, last May died from accidental drug overdoses, the Clark County coroner’s office determined.
Azmi Atassi, 33, died on May 19 from a drug combination of fentanyl, cocaine, MDMA, alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, and mitragynine, which is a compound found in kratom, according to the coroner. Obesity and hypertensive cardiovascular disease were listed as contributing factors in a report obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators.
