Judge grants temporary injunction blocking Clark County short-term rental rules

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A federal judge has granted Airbnb an emergency injunction that blocks the enforcement of short-term rental policies across much of the Las Vegas area for now.

The order from U.S. District Judge Miranda Du sides with Airbnb, the Greater Las Vegas Short-Term Rental Association and other plaintiffs in their arguments against Clark County and the state of Nevada.

The plaintiffs sued in June over the ordinances regulating short-term rentals in unincorporated Clark County, arguing those rules and state law strip property owners of their rights to lease and operate their homes on a short-term basis…
