Nevada researchers seek to curb speeding as car crashes leave lasting impacts

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A push is underway by a top medical professional at a Las Vegas hospital for drivers to slow down, as researchers learn more about traumatic injuries from car crashes in Nevada while trying to improve prevention efforts.

Dr. Deborah Kuhls, chief of trauma at University Medical Center and associate dean for research at UNLV’s Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, said she and other doctors notice a disturbing pattern as they treat patients from crashes.
