LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A United States District Judge sentenced a Las Vegas man to more than 6 years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, according to a release from the Department of Justice.
Michael Anthony Rivas was sentenced to 80 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release on Thursday, Sept. 4, after the government recommended a prison sentence of 110 months.
Court documents showed Rivas distributed and sold fentanyl in the Las Vegas area with his co-defendant, Crystal Fawn Hoag. Rivas and Hoag sold approximately 693 grams, or approximately 8,500 fentanyl pills, the DOJ release said…
