Another roadside casino between California and Vegas closes for years

Another casino is closing indefinitely on the California-Nevada border, marking the second hotel shuttered by Affinity Interactive in Primm in the last year.

Last week, the Clark County Commission approved Affinity Interactive’s request to close Buffalo Bill’s, a casino with over 1,200 rooms. In March, the adjacent Whiskey Pete’s casino was also officially closed by Affinity. Buffalo Bill’s closure will be slightly different, however. In a July letter, the Nevada Gaming Control Board told Buffalo Bill’s that they must stay open to the public at least one 8-hour day per quarter. If it remains open for gaming once per quarter until June 29, 2027, it can keep its gaming license.

Affinity has pledged to “periodically open for concerts and special events” for “approximately eight to ten times per year.” The company plans for the closure to last 24 months, “with the potential for two further six-month extensions” after that…
