Las Vegas man found guilty in DUI crash that killed pregnant woman

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man accused of a deadly DUI crash that left a pregnant woman dead in 2024 was found guilty on Thursday, just two days after his retrial began.

Christopher Walker was charged with DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, reckless driving, and failure to maintain a lane, following a crash that happened on January 13, 2024.

In 2024, Suzanne Chapel, 21, was a passenger in a BMW stopped on the side of I-15 North. According to police, Chapel and her boyfriend, Isaiah Armstrong, were waiting for roadside assistance when officers said Christopher Lee Walker hit their car. Chapel was later pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Her boyfriend was hospitalized with critical injuries…
