LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — When Drai’s ends its rooftop run at The Cromwell, the hard part of its transition back the club’s basement digs will take effect: 351 employees will be out of a job.
Documents filed with the state show that 236 workers at Drai’s Nightclub will be permanently laid off, along with 108 at Drai’s Beach Club and seven at Drai’s Afterhours. In all, about 75 job titles were listed in layoff notices filed on Aug. 30.
Chefs, servers and security personnel who probably can’t afford to sit idle during the transition will be out there looking for work. Many may be looking before the Halloween weekend, the end of Drai’s 10-year run on the rooftop…
