Clark County under smoke advisory due to western wildfires

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Clark County’s Division of Air Quality is issuing a smoke advisory for the region in effect Thursday and Friday, due to periods of wildfire smoke aloft over the next few days.

Air Quality forecasters indicate the smoke is coming from wildfires in the Pacific Northwest as well as the Garnet fire in Central California.

DES Division of Air Quality officials say smoke is made of small particulates and other pollutants that can aggravate respiratory diseases such as bronchitis and asthma or heart disease…
