In April, a custody dispute in a Summerlin law office ended in a shooting. During a court-ordered deposition, attorney Joe Houston shot and killed his former daughter-in-law Ashley Prince and her husband Dennis Prince, then killed himself, according to News3lv.
The final Metro police report said Joe Houston shot someone shortly after a meeting where he questioned the Princes about his son Dylan’s children. An audio recording showed the meeting had just started when the shooting happened. Police found a handwritten note from Houston that said, “In this life there is good and EVIL — I don’t know if I’m good — But I know you’re evil — Dylan is a great dad — When are you going to stop trying to take (redacted) away from him?
