Murders down for Las Vegas police, but concerns rise for youth violence

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Murders investigated by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are down year-over-year, but there are new concerns about youth violence following the deadly shooting of a teenager.

Police say the crime happened around 1 a.m. on Washington Avenue near Lamb Boulevard on Monday. Three teenagers were shot, and two were taken to a hospital in critical condition. The third was pronounced dead at the scene.

A couple of people have been detained, according to police, and all involved in the crime were in their mid to late teens…
