12-year-old riding electric scooter hit, killed in east Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 12-year-old boy riding an electric scooter was hit and killed in the east Las Vegas valley Sunday morning, according to Metro police.

Around 10:50 a.m., Metro police responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of Tully Avenue and Hidden Desert Way near Lamb and Bonanza boulevards.

Evidence at the scene and dashcam footage showed that a 2017 Ford E350 van was driving westbound on Tully Avenue, approaching the intersection, when a 12-year-old boy riding an electric scooter entered the intersection and crossed the van’s path, resulting in a collision…
