Submachine gun, state tech stolen from Nevada governor’s security vehicle

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A fully automatic submachine gun assigned to Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo’s security detail was stolen from an unmarked state vehicle, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

The auto burglary happened Sunday, June 28, in the parking lot of a restaurant on Via Antonio Avenue, near a state office complex that houses the governor’s office and the Department of Public Safety’s Las Vegas outpost.
